Tour Details:
Your guide will drive you in an open topped Jeep through the desert to The White Desert, Wadi Sabet. The journey takes about 45 minutes. This region has a different character to the main desert. The sand is white and the mountains and rocks are distinct. We like to spend time here as there are few tourists and you really feel immersed in nature. It's wonderful for watching birds and often we encounter free camels. Your guide will lead you up sand dunes for incredible mixed views of both the White and Red deserts.

We choose a shady beauty spot to have a cooked picnic lunch, and soak up the unique atmosphere.
After lunch we drive on to Jebel Daghdagh. The Nabotean people lived here, and your guide will lead you on a 20 minute walk up the mountain to where the secret inscriptions are located!

Afterwards you will then travel on to one of the best sunset spots in the White Desert. Your guide will make you fresh Bedouin tea over the fire, whilst you witness the sun go down in nature.

Jebel Al Hash, Heavenly Hike

Tour Details:
Start with a thrilling jeep ride south across the desert plain. Jebel Al Hash offers different paths of varying levels of difficulty up the mountain, so we can choose our route together. The hike up and down takes approximately 3 hours, including time spent at the top. The views at the summit are truly spectacular, taking in both Saudi Arabia, and Ad Adami, the first high mountain.

This region is famous for its many ancient fossils which can be found everywhere.

Upon our descent, your guide will prepare a picnic lunch in a shaded beauty spot. There will be time to relax and take photos before we drive on through the White Desert. This region is a wonderful place witness the magnificence of a Wadi Rum sunset as both Red and White Deserts are visible.

Jebel Burdah, Rock Bridge Adventure

Tour Details:
An exciting open top Jeep transfer takes you to the base of this world famous mountain. The journey is about 20kms and takes 45 minutes.
This is a fun mountain to climb and can be done by anyone who is reasonably fit. It takes about 1.5 hours to get to the top, and you will be spoilt with fantastic views the whole way. But these are incomparable to the incredible views across Wadi Rum from the top of the rock bridge! There is also a variety of plant life growing in this region which your guide will name and explain to you. The Bedouins have a use for almost everything in the desert.

Once we've completed our decent your guide will cook you a delicious lunch whilst you relax. At this point we can discuss afternoon options. You can go to a canyon for a self guided walk, or we can take you sandboarding in the dunes.

Afterwards we drive to the Um Froth rock bridge. This bridge is much smaller but its a fun place to watch the sun go down, before our return journey.

Two Hour (Sunset) Tour
Our shortest tour can be scheduled for any time of day, but is particularly popular at sunset. Let your guide drive you to a selection of the main sites before choosing the perfect, tranquil, sunset viewing point. They will make a fire on the desert floor and brew fresh Bedouin tea for you to sip, whilst you witness the breathtaking spectacle of the landscape change colour. Don't forget your camera!

Camel Tours
All our tours can be customised. Why not start your tour of the desert at a more leisurely pace by adding on one of our camel rides? Typically this would start in the village and you trek across the desert to Lawrence Spring. This takes one hour, and the price includes a camel handler, and one camel per person.

Take a full day seeing the main sites and landmarks of Wadi Rum protected area. You will travel by 4x4 and take in the full wonder of the desert. Please discuss options with your friendly guide at the start of the tour. We can arrange trekking, or climbing wih varying degrees of difficulty.

Hot Air Balloon

Hot air balloon tours in Wadi Rum offer a unique and breathtaking perspective of the desert landscape. Enjoy a serene flight over the red sand dunes, towering rock formations, and scenic valleys. Hot air balloon tours take place early in the morning, when the weather is calm and the desert is bathed in the soft light of sunrise. The tour lasts for around one hour, and visitors can marvel at the stunning panoramic views.

Tour Price:

There is an additional charge of 30JD per group booking to cover the round-trip transportation from the camp to the launch site, typically leaving around 5am.

Details and Desert Praticalities

We usually meet either at your camp, or at the visitor's car park in Wadi Rum village, (which is a 5 minute drive from the visitor's centre).

All visitors to Wadi Rum must pay an entrance fee of 5JD at the visitor's centre . (Please note entry is free with the Jordan Pass). Secure parking in the village is free of charge.

All our tours are private so we can be flexible on start times to suit your preference. However we usually aim to start between 9 and 10 am. All our tour itineraries are flexible and we can discuss specific options at the time of booking, or the at beginning of the tour. We want our guests to have the best desert experience, so please just ask!

All our guides speak both English and Arabic.

Our jeeps are open topped to give you the best desert views and an exhilerating, fun ride. We recommend you bring a hat, sunblock and sunglasses.

All payments should be made in cash (Jordanian Dinars). Please note there are no banks or ATM machines in Wadi Rum Village.
